This home office for a retired business man was designed to provide him with a comfortable place to work and to watch television when his wife is watching, "one of her shows". The desk and credenza, from Room and Board, match the natural cherry wood of the custom built-in cabinetry below the window. I designed the custom built-in to hide the building-standard heating and air conditioning unit with additional storage cabinets on either side for office supplies. The rich brown leather Eames executive chair adds a distinguished level of luxury. The cool palette of the handmade, wool area rug by Orley & Shabahang, complements the earthy warm tones of the silk wallcovering and cherry wood furniture.
